​Whenever I choose any script, I make sure it is from different genres, says Bhushan Kumar.

Film producer and the owner of T-series Bhushan Kumar is all set for his upcoming movie ‘Jai Mummy Di’, and says that whenever he choose any script, he makes sure that It is from different genres. He believes that it’s very important to understand that at a particular time which genre of movie will entertain the audience.

 

Bhushan Kumar was interacting with media at the  trailer laumch of the movie ‘Jai Mummy Di’ on Thursday in Mumbai.

 

‘Jai Mummy Di’ is a light-hearted family comedy that portrays the trials and tribulations a couple has to undergo due to dynamics between their respective mothers. The genesis of the story came out from director Navjot Gulati’s mom, because she is the inspiration of his life.

 

When asked Bhushan about his creative inputs in films and his strategies behind the hit films like ‘Kabir Singh’ or ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’, he said, “Whenever I choose any script I obviously see that it is from different genres. If we talk about ‘Kabir Singh’, it was totally a distinct  story from the comedies which we have done and the ones we are doing now. Luckily as a production house whichever script we are selecting it’s working and we are happy about it. 

 

There is no such formula or strategy planned in opting any scripts. We just keep in mind that currently which genres of movie will entertain the audience.”

 

‘Jai Mummy Di’ is helmed by Navjot Gulati, who is making his directorial debut with the film. It is produced by Luv Films and distributed by T-Series starring Sunny Singh and Sonnalli Seygall, Supriya Pathak and Poonam Dhillon. It is scheduled to release on 17 January 2020.
