The first official and spine chilling trailer of Ghost Stories is out. The forthcoming anthology horror film, consisting of four short film segments directed by Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap.
The film features an ensemble cast including Mrunal Thakur, Avinash Tiwary, Janhvi Kapoor, Raghuvir Yadav, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vijay Varma and Pavail Gulati.
Director Karan Johar dropped the trailer on his social media profile. He captioned it, “Friday the 13th would be incomplete without some chills, thrills and of course an absolute spook-fest... presenting the trailer of Ghost Stories! Coming 1st Jan! #YourFearsWillFindYou @netflixindia @ronniescrewvala @ashidua_fue @rsvpmovies”
The trailer features all four stories and their massive spine chilling elements are jsut took much to take! A couple is getting married and during their intimate moment, the husband is talking to his imaginary grand-mother.
One story features Jahnvi Kapoor is taking care of an elderly woman but there is more to her than meet the eye. Shobitha’ story deals with her kid; she is feeding a doll, a little boy making a scary face, and Surekha Sikri holding someone in a creepy gaze.
There are a lot of sharp intakes of breath in ways of scares, and there isn't anything particularly 'scary' except a basic shot of what looks like ghosts/zombies in a room.
We are quite excited to see what these four acclaimed directors bring to the table, considering none of them have actually dabbled in horror before!
