Mumbai, Dec 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) Mumbai Games, the world's first multi-sport, multi-age, franchise-based sports extravaganza, entered its second week of the 2-month long season. The first week was welcomed with upward of 1500 entries.

The games were flagged off on November 30 in the presence of Mangirish Palekar, Secretary of the Mumbai District Badminton Association and Sunder Shetty, Secretary of the Maharashtra Badminton Association. Pullela Gopichand, one of the members of the governing council of the Mumbai Games, addressed the participants as they were eagerly waiting for Season 2 to kick off. The excitement was self evident as they warmed up with determination ready to play.

"Last year was a great success with more than 12k participants, the people of Mumbai have made this event grand. I hope that this year sees a higher number of Mumbaikars coming out to play," Gopichand said.

A total of 188 matches have been played between the categories of Boys U-15 and Girls U-15 so far, all representing their respective contingents that are looking to take as many points as possible to catch the top spot.
