Great Performances From Malayalam 2019 - Editor's Choice

Some great films and some extraordinary movies, certainly, made our year. With movies like Virus, Kumbalangi Nights, Jellikettu and Unda, Mollywood was extremely fruitful in keeping us engaged for this present year. The right director and the correct story don't mean anything without the right actors. Entertainers are the ones who cross over any barrier between the minds behind the camera and the ones before the screen. Give us a chance to depend on certain stars that left us no other choice than going insane for them. I am giving exceptional notices for Shine Tom Chacko (Ishq) Shane Nigam (Ishq and Kumbalangi Nights), Vinay Fort (Thamasha) and Asif Ali ( Kettiyolanentte Malaka)

1) Soubin Shahir - Kumbalangi Nights, Ambily

Soibin arrived at a point in his life where he needn't bother with any approval on what he does. It's the hardest to play a develop character in light of the fact that there's an extremely dainty line which you can cross and exaggerate. Soubin experts his job being inside that line. All through the film, he needed to express his vulnerability and he acts out the equivalent with his mark imagination.

2) Suraj Venjaramoodu - Android Kunjappan, Vikridi

This isn't new for Suraj Venjaramoodu, beating the cast with her fabulous presentation is the thing that he has been doing for barely a few years. Every dialogue he says, each gaze he gives, each grin he grins has just a single thing composed on it – genuineness. His referenced movies is about a fair man satisfying his obligations deeply – ain't Suraj is the ideal choice? The answer is a big 'Yes'.

3) Mammootty - Unda

Mammootty has quite recently given us how acting isn't constantly about 'acting'. In Unda, his long stops and expressions talk route stronger than words. After splendid displays from Tamil ( Peranbhu) and Telugu (Yatra), Mammootty deals with his job of an ordinary slice of life cop in an excellent manner. He manages the control of the film even during the slow pace. When he is on screen it is really difficult for any other actor to draw the viewers’ attention to them.

4) Joju George - Porinju Mariam Jose

Joju George is a fine actor and once again demonstrates his determination with this film. Joju touches the level he has never done before. For me, Joseph was his best execution to date however Porinju challenges that honored position in view of the film's commercial reach. The previous was mind-boggling however the last enables the star to express various types of feelings in an expressive manner. I saw his next film Chola's trailer a day ago, it also appears to be encouraging.

5) Parvathy - Uyare

Uyare film has a place with Parvathy. This is another excellent exhibition by her after Ennu Ninte Moideen. As an acid attack, survivor Parvathy breaks the damsel in distress myth and she says it out loud why we don’t need a hero for a film or why an actress can’t be the hero. She is ferocious and this is her special performance. Parvathy takes the emotional scenes to another level which could’ve gone wasted if not for her.

6) Nivin Pauly - Moothon

Nivin Pauly leaves our jaws hanging with his mind-blowing execution. He just in some way all the consideration towards himself in whichever scene he is in. He is the best decision for this role and has done the most extreme equity to it. After Preman and Hey Jude, he has hit another grand slam with Moothon to the extent his exhibition is concerned.

7) Anna Ben - Kumbalangi Nights, Helen

Anna Ben! Adoring her in Kumbalangi Nights was a smaller than usual treat, hold up till she knocks your socks off in Helen. She is an integral part of the Helen and Anna Ben holds each nerve of her character to convey a shocking presentation. She has aced her character and you'll wind up worshiping her for her abilities. Her character is straightforward and helpless however when she sees the risk, she takes the challenge.

8) Amith Chakkalakkal - Varikuzhiyille Kolapathakam

I know the greater part of readers will be astounded after the consideration of Amith in this list. Still, I recollect the day Varikuzhiyille Kolapathakam released with two major overwhelming weighted movies, however gradually the film won the last fight. Amith is darn great and in the wake of watching the film, you will most likely be unable to see any other person play Vincent Kombana a similar way! This is Amith's best execution to date and I want to see him more as Vincent Kombana in the event that they plan a franchisee.
