St. Teresa School win first ever Rajasthan Royals School Girls Cup
Jaipur, Nov 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) The first edition of the Rajasthan Royals School Girls Cup came to an end on Friday with St. Teresa School winning the inaugural title. The final match between Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School and St. Teresa's School Jaipur started at 2:00 p.m. at Jaipuria Cricket Academy.

A target of 113 runs was set out by St. Teresa School which MGD school failed to chase until the last ball.

Present at the occasion were Dishant Yagnik, fielding coach, and Jake Lush McCrum -- Chief Operating Officer for Rajasthan Royals. The event was organised by Shuchi Kulshrestha, Project Lead for Royal Sparks at Rajasthan Royals.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Dishant Yagnik said: "I would like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to St. Teresa School on winning the inaugural edition of Rajasthan Royals School Girls Cup. It was such a great and electrifying atmosphere here seeing the passion and competitiveness among the girls."

Jake Lush McCrum echoed the sentiments and said: "This tournament has been a fantastic success. The talent on show and passion of these girls has been immense. We are proud to provide a platform for young and budding talent to perform and help them reach the next rank in their cricketing career. We will continue to invest in grassroots cricket in Rajasthan and hope to see several players in the India team in the future!"

Player of the Tournament: Yashashvi Katta from MGD School & Royal Sparks programme

Best Batswoman: Komal Chouhan from St. Teresa

Best Bowler: Archana Yogi from St. Teresa
