What's About - Happy Sardar is another rom-com that misses the mark among awful and normal in view of its regular old execution. Happy Singh (Kalidas Jayaram) is a giddy youngster who was destined to a Punjabi father Indrapal Singh (Javed Jaffrey) and a Malayali mother (Praveena). He experiences passionate feelings for Mary Kochar, the most youthful little girl of Joyce Kochara (Siddique). Happy Sardar describes how Happy and Mary prevail upon one another's folks and get hitched with their favors. The film resembles a tribute to the nineties Bollywood films.

Analysis - Happy Sardar makes a decent attempt to be a bright lighthearted comedy. The content has been bound with every one of the components required for it to be one, yet the absence of spotlight on narrating brings about a film that is exhausting in many parts. The characters are quite all around considered, however, and they're the redeeming quality for the film. This is a one-time watch. A no brainer that you can appreciate with your family. The film may have the same old thing to offer however it without a doubt compensates for a better than average end of the week watch.

As a film, Happy Sardar engages with a cushion story thus however you start putting rationale to it, it will leave you confused. There will never be a point in the film other than a diversion, which gives intelligent thinking to it. Aside from these undeniable loopholes, the content is peculiar and has a bunch of interesting successions. The dialogues are funny and that's what is charming. I give full credit of this film to the supporting actors, mainly Sharaffudin

Direction - For a debut film, Sudip Joshy - Geethika Sudip makes an OK showing. Luckily, the movie is kept short and there is no overextended wedding succession which is a relief. The executive team has prevailed with regards to raising the intriguing parts of two unique societies on screen, basically authentically. Sadly, the directors flounder at keeping up a similar pace for the second half. Nevertheless, they make up for the boring second half with the use of regular elements. Overall the screenplay is lucid.

Star Performances, Cinematography & Music - Kalidas Jayaram gives some improvement with this film. Notwithstanding having a film that has him as the lead character, his weak dialogue delivery is upsetting. Merin Philip is great yet her chemistry with Kalidas is truly missing. Siddique and Javed Jaffrey, who play Mary and Happy's dads, have exceeded expectations in their particular jobs. The remainder of the star cast, including Sreenath Bhasi, Siddhi Mahajankatti, Sharaffudheen, Praveena, Mala Parvathy, Balu Varghese, and others are great in their particular jobs. Abhinandan Ramanujam's cinematography is excellent, he catches the regions of the two societies splendidly. Gopi Sundar's BGM functions admirably yet his song didn't.

Verdict - Happy Sardar is a time pass entertainer that you can appreciate if you keep your minds at home. The film won't give you anything to recall however certainly it won't hurt you.
