Prof K Nageshwar: BJP Operation Maharashtra On National Politics (Video)

Political embargo continued in Maharashtra as the Supreme Court on Monday resumed hearing on a petition filed by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)-Shiv Sena-Congress combine against the decision taken by Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari on Saturday.

In a surprising move, BS Koshyari on Saturday administered the oath ceremony of BJP loyalist Devendra Fadnavis and NCP's Ajit Pawar.

The unprecedented development revoked President's rule in the state, which was imposed in Maharashtra on November 12.

On Sunday, the apex court gave 24 hours to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his deputy Ajit Pawar to submit relevant documents and letters of support from MLAs to prove majority in the House.
