Designer Manish Malhotra, who has been a favourite among Bollywood celebrities, lost his father on Monday. The last rites were held in Mumbai.
Manish’s father was in his early 90s and was unwell for a while. The sudden demise has left the family in tough times.
To support the designer and his family in these difficult times and pay homage to Malhotra’s father, many Bollywood celebrities visited the venue in Mumbai where the prayer meet was held in Suraj Prakash Malhotra's memory.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Karan Johar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Anil Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Huma Qureshi, Sonakshi Sinha, Poonam Sinha, Ananya Panday, Bhavana Pandey, Raveena Tandon, Anil Thadani, David Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Ameesha Patel, Urmila Matondkar and Saiyami Kher came to offer their condolences.
Krishika Lulla, Freddy Daruwala, Tusshar Kapoor, Neelam Kothari-Soni, Sameer Soni, Ashish Chowdhry, Sophie Choudry, Karanvir Bohra, Avinash Gowariker, Gajendra Chauhan, Daisy Shah, Kunal Rawat, Mohit Marwah, Shekhar Ravjiani, Karishma Tanna, Dabboo Ratnani and Ila Arun were also spotted at Manish Malhotra’s father prayer meet.
Manish has been integral to the fashion movement in India and entered the industry by designing clothes for Juhi Chawla in 'Swarg' (1990).
Manish won his first Filmfare Award for designing costumes of Urmila Matondkar in ‘Rangeela’. From Sridevi to Janhvi Kapoor, Manish has revolutionalised the way fashion is looked at.
He's given girls all over some serious fashion goals with his creations in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, ‘Student of The Year’, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Veer Zaara’.
