Pak political party leaders booked under anti-terrorism Act

Karachi, Nov 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Leaders of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, a Pakistani political party that favours the rights of the Sindhi community, have been booked under sections pertaining to anti-nation and anti-government sloganeering, revolt, terrorism and criminal conspiracy.

A case has been registered against them under the anti-terrorism Act in which the police alleged that the Chairman of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (Bashir Khan Qureshi group) Sanan Qureshi, Vice Chairman Ilahi Bakhsh and others recently called a Sindh Paigam Rally in Karachi in which workers from the entire Sindh province took part.

Participants at the rally raised objectionable slogans against Pakistan, its institutions, the government and some celebrities. The party Chairman and others allegedly incited the people for revolt and terrorism.

However, no one has been arrested so far.

Speaking to the media, Bakhsh said: "Thousands of people participated in the rally. In between, some anti-social and anti-national elements entered the rally and raised slogans against the country. I and the Chairman mentioned these elements in our speeches. We deny any kind of relationship with them. The Chairman also slapped some such persons".
