Actor Vardhan Puri, who is making his Hindi film debut with ‘Ye Saali Aashiqui’, has said that his forthcoming mystery thriller film is very important for today’s young generation. He added that his film will tell the difference between love and infatuation to the audience.

Vardhan Puri was interacting with the media at the trailer launch of ‘Ye Saali Aashiqui’ along with her co-actor Shivaleeka Oberoi, film’s director Cherag Ruparel and producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada and Rajeev Amrish Puri on Tuesday in Mumbai.

The trailer of ‘Ye Saali Aashiqui’ gives us a glimpse of a twisted love story. What looks like a failed love story takes a U-turn for the worse and ends up being a thriller mystery.

In Hindi films, newcomers normally make their debut with a love story when asked Vardhan whether he felt any apprehensions while making debut with a mystery thriller film, he said, “I think love is such an essential and long term thing in all our lives that it is important to choose our partner correctly. It is one such thing which can either make or break your life so, through this film, we want to entertain the audience and I am sure that we will entertain the audience and other than that, we want to give jolting message to the audience which is very important for today’s youth. I feel infatuation is one such thing which takes us in a deep sea and from there it is impossible to return back. So, people need to understand difference between infatuation and love and I hope this film will show that path to the audience so, I feel it is very important film for today’s young generation.”

Vardhan added that one failed relationship doesn’t mean that people should stop believing in love, he said, “Sometimes we give power to one person to make you cynical about love which possibly the greatest thing for any human being so, we wanted to break that myth. We wanted people to know that if one love story didn’t go right then, that doesn’t mean you stop believing in love so, that is also one thing we want to bring in the forefront though this film.”

Vardhan Puri is a grandson of late veteran actor Amrish Puri. Amrish Puri’s brothers Madan Puri and Chaman Puri also worked as an actor in Hindi film industry, when asked Vardhan does that put pressure on him to take his family’s forward, he said, “I feel that pressure is very negative word. I take it as a responsibility and my greatest blessing is that I was born in this (Puri) family. It wasn’t in my hand. I think I must have done some good karma in my previous birth that I am a part of such good family. If I start thinking about pressure then I won’t be able to work. I feel my family has contributed a lot towards Hindi film industry so, it is my responsibility to take my family’s legacy forward and to make them proud with my work.”

Helmed by Cherag Ruparel and produced by Dr. Jayantilal Gada [PEN] and Rajeev Amrish Puri, the film is set to release on November 22, 2019.
