Finally, Aamir Khan drops a motion poster teaser and confirms the release date of his forthcoming remake movie, Laal Singh Chaddha. The film is slated for Christmas 2020 release.
Aamir Khan announced the official remake of Tom Hank starrer Forrest Gump on his 54th Birthday. The film is titled Laal Singh Chaddha, also featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role.
Superstar Aamir Khan just dropped the motion poster on his social media profile. He captioned it, “Kya pata hum mein hai kahani, ya hai kahaani mein hum...”
Laal Singh Chaddha is bankrolled by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Aamir Khan Productions together. The film is directed by Secret Superstar director Advait Chandan and it will be written by Atul Kulkarni.
Once again, Aamir Khan will be going through physical transformation for the role in the film. He will shed some 20 Kilos for his role and he will be seen sporting a turban for some segments of the film.
The 1994 comedy-drama Forrest Gump is based on the 1986 novel of the same name. The film featured Tom Hanks in the titular role and it won several Academy Awards for the Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Visual Effects, and Best Film Editing.
Aamir Khan was last seen in Vijay Krishna Acharya's Thugs Of Hindostan, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
