Actress Bhumi Pednekar says real satisfaction comes from playing different roles and character, on the sidelines of her recent media interaction.
Bhumi Pednekar was interacting with media to promote her next outing Bala, which also stars Ayushmann Khurran and Yami Gautam in the leading roles.
Talking about the acting-satisfaction, Bhumi said, “The real satisfaction comes when I am playing different roles, my role in Bala, or Saand Ki Aankh, character kind of satisfies me, not her cloths”
Bhumi Pednekar is known for character roles, ever since her debut movie, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, the actress has played a wide variety of rural to small city empowered women roles.
Talking about the roles and temperament behind picking up such characters, Bhumi said, “I real life I am a Mumbai girl, who is born and raised here. So my characters are different than what I am in real life. I love portraying different characters. For me playing a glamorous, regular, English speaking urban girl character is quite easy”
“There is no hard work for me in it, but the thing is I have never been to heartland of India, I have not seen a simple village life, so when I get a chance to experience all that through my characters, it becomes challenging for me and I enjoy it. Pati Patni Aur Woh my character is such, she is glamorous. According to her eco-system, she is quite a hot girl”
Bala is a forthcoming satirical comedy film directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam, Javed Jaffrey and Saurabh Shukla. The film will be theatrically released in India on 7 November 2019.
