Washington, Nov 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) Former US Vice President Joe Biden has maintained his lead in the 2020 Democratic presidential race against the 17 other party candidates, according to a latest poll.
The ABC News and The Washington Post poll released on Sunday found Biden with 27 per cent support from Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents, unchanged from an early September survey, reports Xinhua news agency.
Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts climbed to 21 per cent from 17 per cent, while Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Indiana, stood at 7 per cent after gaining four more points, according to the poll.
Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont was supported by 19 per cent of the respondents.
The new survey of 1,003 adults was conducted between October 27 and 30, with a margin of error of 5.5 percentage points.
Biden made a trip to Sterling, Virginia on Sunday to rally party activists for a pivotal state election, while Sanders held a rally in Minneapolis, Minnesota to promote his presidential campaign.
According to the RealClearPolitics average of polling, Biden leads the 17-contender Democratic primary field by about 7 points with 27.6 per cent.
Warren, who trails behind Biden with 20.4 per cent, is followed by Sanders with 17 per cent and Buttigieg with 7.1 per cent.
