Shah Rukh teases his fans to watch his films in theatres the way they come to celebrate his birthday

Actor Shah Rukh Khan who is known for having witty and friendly nature, has advised his fans to watch his films theatres in large numbers the way every year they come to his residence to celebrate his birthday.

Shah Rukh Khan was addressing his fans on his 54th birthday celebration on Saturday in Mumbai.

Shah Rukh Khan last few films like ‘Fan’, ‘Raees’, ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ and ‘Zero’ hasn’t been able to impress the audience in theatres. Shah Rukh is taking failures in his stride and seen making fun of his failures on several occasions.

Khan teased his fans saying that they should go to watch his films as they come to celebrate his birthday at his house in large numbers, he said, “I am thankful to people who have came here from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Till date, I haven’t figured out that what I have done that you guys love me so much but now, I have stopped thinking about it because Salman (Khan) has taught me that ‘Mein dil mein aata hoon, samajh mein nahi’. I was also telling my team that you all come to my house but not in (cinema) hall to watch my films (laughs) so, you should start come to hall.”

Every year, on Shah Rukh’s birthday, thousands of his fans gather outside his residence ‘Mannat’ just to catch one glimpse on their favorite actor. It also causes traffic issue and noise pollution in the surrounding area.

There were speculations that Shah Rukh might announce his next film on his birthday, disappointing his fans, Khan said, “I know a lot of people were writing on social media and media people keep speculating that I am announcing a film on my birthday but beauty of my films because of all you is, the day it will be announced that day will be our birthday. We have celebrated like that. More than that, I think owe it to you. When I make a good film then, you feel really happy and when I make a bad film, you feel really sad. I understand and respect that. I never intentionally try to make a bad film but it just happens. Similarly, I never try to make a good film, it just happens.

Khan added that he is feeling inspired by watching films of his colleagues, he said, “Now, I am thinking that I will work hard and get healthier. For me, it is not just working for myself, it is working for the pride, happiness, love, warmth, kindness of you guys. I will try to make action, dance, romantic, comedy films for you as quickly as possible. I will work very hard and try to finish as many films as possible in next year so, we will have more moments of happiness not because of me because I know how you enjoy watching films not only mine and other actors also. After so many years, I got the chance to watch other actors films so, now I am feeling more inspired.”
