Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 28 (SocialNews.XYZ) A fresh case of conspiracy was registered in the Nair family deaths case on Monday against two care-takers, a former bureaucrat and seven others by the police probing into usurping of properties of the family of deceased, who died between 2000 and 2017.
But there has been no charges of murder in the new case, according to the police.
Among those who have been charge sheeted includes
Names of Ravindran Nair, principal caretaker of the Gopinathan Nair family, associate caretaker Sahadevan and retired senior bureaucrat N. Mohandas figure in the case, filed on the basis of a complaint by Prasanna Kumari, a family kin.
The deaths took place in the Gopinathan Nair family between 2000 and 2017. The deceased included Nair, his wife Sumukhi Amma and their children -- Jaybalakrishnan, Jayprakash, Jaysree -- and two nephews Unnikrishnan and Jaymadhavan.
A special investigation team has been set up to probe the case, including usurping of Rs 30 crore properties.
The police, which launched the probe after a complaint from a family member and a neighbour, decided to widen the investigation after finding irregularities.
Ravindran, a distant relative of Nair, is suspected to be behind these deaths. But he has denied any wrongdoing and has stated that the complaint was filed to harass him as he denied to yield to the demands of some family members of the deceased.
