On October 21, Mrs. ABE Akie, spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan had a meeting with Mrs. Dominique OUATTARA, First Lady of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, who was visiting Japan.
At the outset, Mrs. Abe expressed her gratitude to the warm welcome extended to her during for her visit to Côte d’Ivoire in 2014. In response, Mrs. Ouattara thanked for the hospitality upon her visit to Japan this time.
Ouattara stated that she would like to make use of knowledge she obtained through her visit to National Center for Global Health and Medicine of Japan for development of hospitals in Côte d’Ivoire. Is response, Mrs. Abe explained challenges Japan is facing, such as Japan’s declining birthrate and aging population, as well as the work style reform promoted by the Government of Japan. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere.
