IAF fires two Brahmos missiles on routine training

Kolkata, Oct 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) Two Brahmos Surface to Surface missiles were fired by Indian Air Force at Trak Island in the Andaman Nicobar group of islands, a Defence Ministry spokesperson said here on Tuesday.

The twin firings on October 21 and 22 were carried out as a part of the routine operational training, the spokesperson said.

The missile engaged the designated mock targets close to 300km away. A direct hit on the target was achieved in both the cases.

Firing of the missile has enhanced the IAFs capability to engage the ground targets with pin point accuracy from a mobile platform, she said.
