Rohtak, Oct 21 (SocialNews.XYZ) Three-time Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda on Monday drank a glass of milk after casting his vote along with the family members, including his father and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Hooda arrived at the polling booth in his native village of Sanghi to vote in the assembly polls. He then interacted with the people gathered outside the polling booth.
As he spoke with the people, Hooda stood on the footrest of his SUV with the front doors open and held a glass of milk in his hand. While talking he drank the milk and also showed his inked finger to fellow voters.
Speaking to reporters, Hooda described the revocation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir a "national issue" and accused the BJP of ditching the state-specific issues.
The Congress that faced a complete washout in the Lok Sabha elections on all the 10 seats earlier this year is looking for a comeback in the assembly polls. Hooda lost the Lok Sabha elections from Rohtak. His father Bhupinder Singh Hooda too lost from the Sonepat seat.
The assembly election for the 90-member House are underway in the state. The counting of votes will take place on October 24.
