Bharat bags an award at Dada Saheb Phalke Awards 2019. Superstar Mahesh Babu wins the best actor award for Bharat Ane Nenu. This is the first year of Dada Saheb Phalke Awards South.
This is a little shocker considering Ram Charan is running away with all awards for his performance for Rangasthalam.
Bharat Ane Nenu is a 2018 political action drama film written and directed by Koratala Siva, starring Mahesh Babu, Kiara Advani and Prakash Raj in the lead roles.
The film is about Bharat, a student who unexpectedly becomes the leader of Andhra Pradesh and his attempts to reform politics.

- BEST DIRECTOR: Sukumar for Rangasthalam
- BEST DEBUT FEMALE: Payal Rajput for RX 100
