Bollywood producer and Late Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor, who forayed into Tamil industry recently with the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 'Pink' as 'Nerkonda Paarvaai' with superstar Ajith is now gearing up to venture into Tollywood with the remake of 2018 smash hit 'Badhaai Ho' starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao and Sanya Malhotra in primary roles.
Now the latest update is that Boney Kapoor would be co-producing the remake of the Hindi film in Telugu jointly with popular producer Dil Raju. The script work is said to start off soon and the makers are looking for the right director to make this film. The cast and crew of the film is yet to be announced and the film is expected to go on the floors and release next year.
Directed by Amit Ravindrenath Sharma, 'Badhaai Ho' is the story of a middle-aged couple, who unexpectedly get pregnant and become a talking point in the local circles. How their children come to term with this news forms the crux of the story. The Hindi version was a runaway hit and swept away maximum awards at every possible stage. Let's hope the same continues down south as well.
