Bhopal, Sep 6 (IANS) The feud in the Madhya Pradesh Congress has turned into writing of letters and poster war.
After the party leadership asked local leaders not to indulge in a war of words, Congress MLA from Tarana Mahesh Parmar wrote to Sonia Gandhi on Thursday demanding action against those who are issuing statements harming the state government as well as the party.
Meanwhile, supporters of Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia have launched a poster campaign in Shivpuri and Gwalior demanding that he be made chief of the party's state unit.
In the poster, party's city chief Shailendra Tedia has posed seven questions to Chief Minister Kamal Nath.
According to the sources, Jyotiraditya Scindia asked his supporters not to organise any meeting demanding that he be made the state chief of the party.
Earlier former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh on Friday said, "Everyone has the right to express one's views and put up posters. No one should have any objection over it."
The infighting in the state Congress started after the letters written by senior party leader Digvijay Singh to the ministers went viral on social media. Umang Singhar, the state Forest Minister, had hit out at Singh and wrote to Sonia Gandhi and national general secretary Deepak Babaria.
Reacting to this, Singh's supporters lashed out at Singhmar and burnt his effigies. Scindia also jumped into the fray asking the Chief Minister to look into the matter.
