Los Angeles, Sep 6 (IANS) "Ready or Not" directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett say they were starstruck with the presence of actress Andie MacDowell on the sets.
"We were all a little starstruck," said Bettinelli-Olpin.
To this, Gillett added: "And I think we still are. As it turned out, Andie is such a trouper and was game for this project's weirdness and the physicality it required of her."
The dark horror comedy follows a young bride (Samara Weaving) as she joins her new husband's (Mark O'Brien) eccentric family (Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, MacDowell) for a family tradition -- which soon turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.
MacDowell was glad to do lots of fight sequences in the film.
"We were not holding back. You know usually hold back when you practice something, but I think we just wanted to be great. They had like the mats for us to fall on and everything," MacDowell said.
Fox Searchlight Pictures will release "Ready or Not" in India on September 13.
