“ I didn’t seek the Minister post under the BC quota as I belong to the backward class,” an emotional minister said at a meeting organised to welcome the Congress leaders into TRS fold in Huzurabad town. Reacting to reports in a section of the media, he said: “I don’t think it is necessary for me to respond to such false and baseless allegations”. “I did not join the party in the middle. I had participated in the statehood movement along with several lakhs of people. We achieved statehood through persistent struggle for the welfare of Telangana people. We are pink flag-bearers and not beggars,” he said.
