Chennai, Aug 26 (IANS) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami on Monday said the state government's 24-hour Education TV channel will broadcast not only programmes that are related to studies but also about skill development as well as suggestions to parents.
Inaugurating the Education TV channel here, Palaniswami said a sum of Rs 1.35 crore was spent on procuring modern cameras, drones and technical equipment for the channel.
Palaniswami also said the programmes being produced by Education TV would compete with those made by the private sector.
The Education TV content will be useful for students from Lower KG up to 12th standard. The channel will have experts on different subjects clearing doubts and on tests to take to prepare for competitive exams, among others, Palaniswami said.
