Berlin, Aug 26 (IANS) Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp has indicated that he will consider taking a one-year sabbatical after his time at Anfield comes to an end. Klopp is already recognised as one of Liverpool's most succesfull managers in the Premier League era, having led the Anfield giants to success in the Champions League last season and missing the league title by a point in what was a record race for the top spot with Manchester City.
"I have absolute energy. But I have one problem. I can't do 'a little bit'. I can only do 'all or nothing'," Klopp told Germany's Kicker magazine. "When I decide that I cannot do it any longer then I will take a break for a year."
"After that year (break) a decision must then be taken," Klopp said. "But chances are very high that my energy level will then be there once more and that I can then do the job the way I want to."
Klopp is known for his energy on the sidelines during a match which has landed him in trouble with the officials at times. He joined Liverpool after a succesfull time at Borussia Dortmund where he won two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup. He also led the team to the Champions League final in 2013 where they lost to rivals Bayern Munich.
Liverpool have not won the domestic league title since 1990. They are one of the favourites to challenge Manchester City for the title this season and if they manage to win it, Klopp could be considered the most succesfull Liverpool manager in decades.
