Mumbai, Aug 22 (IANS) Kia Motors India on Thursday launched mid-segment SUV Seltos, its first product for the Indian market.
According to the company, the Seltos is BS-VI compliant vehicle and is available in both petrol and diesel variants with manual and automatic transmission options.
The mid-segment SUV comes with an introductory price starting from Rs 9.69 lakh for the entry level petrol Smartstream G1.5 HTE model, going up to Rs 15.99 lakh for the Diesel 1.5 CRDi HTX plus (6AT) and petrol Smartstream 1.4 T - Gdi GTX (7DCT) and GTX plus top-end variant.
Seltos is available in "Smartstream 1.4 turbo petrol with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT, smartstream 1.5 petrol with 6-speed manual or IVT and 1.5 diesel VGT with 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic".
The automobile manufacturer announced the receipt of 320,35 bookings for the Seltos so far and said that its Anantapur plant has an annual production capacity of 3,00,000 units which will allow the company to cater to the increasing demand of Seltos.
