While the nation rejoices, albeit with some voices of opposition, on the abrogation of Article 370 and bringing Jammu and Kashmir out of its clutches, a new tension is building up among the political parties about its impact on the elections to urban local bodies in Telangana.
On the receiving end this time may be the Telangana Congress and the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) who look worried that voting in the municipalities may go the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) way given the euphoria that has set in.
The ruling TRS, was sure of winning majority municipalities given its advantages of the muscle and financial strength.
