In a historic political development, Rajya Sabha on Monday passed Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019, which will bifurcate the state into two Union Territories - Jammu and Kashmir with a legislature and Ladakh without one. The upper house passed the bill with 125 votes in favour as compared to 61 against it.
