Shillong, Aug 7 (IANS) Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy and Chief Minister Conrad Sangma here on Wednesday condoled the death of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
Sushma Swaraj died of cardiac arrest in Delhi on Tuesday night. She was 67.
"Sushmaji's death at the early age of 67 leaves a huge void. An outstanding speaker in both Hindi and English, a consummate parliamentarian. But I shall always remember her for her human qualities, always coming to the aid of Indians in trouble abroad," Roy tweeted.
Expressing shock over the sudden demise of Sushma Swaraj, Sangma said, "She will be missed and remembered by the people of India and leaders from across party lines."
