With Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor has no turning back in his film career. With an estimated collection of a whooping Nett 269 crore rupees worldwide, Shahid Kapoor felt that his stock has gone up by notches. By this, Bollywood producers are getting worried to sign in Shahid in their movies. The demand for rupees 40 crores as his remuneration by Shahid Kapoor has been reported.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar has approached Shahid Kapoor for a remake of another Telugu movie, “Jersey”. Karan Johar had got the Hindi remake rights of Jersey for a staggering amount. When Karan Johar approached Shahid, Shahid is said to have quoted 40 crore rupees as his fee. However, this is just the talk making rounds in the media. Quickly Shahid denied these rumors.
Clearing the doubts, Shahid told that his bank balance is the same as it was before he acted in Kabir Singh. On another hand, he is said to have quoted 25 crore rupees as his remuneration for his next movie after bagging a 200 crore plus movie with Kabir Singh.
Rumors set aside it is a rare piece where the actors with stardom react to such rumors quickly. With such a quick reaction from Shahid, one can imagine how serious are such rumors for him.
