Ghaziabad, July 26 (IANS) In order to provide immediate medical care to 'kanwarias', Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey has ordered the setting up of 21 health camps and deployment of 28 ambulances on the 'kanwar' yatra stretch, district information officer Rakesh Chauhan announced.
Of these, nine camps will be managed by the government health department while the rest will be managed in association with private health organizations. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has been tasked with coordinating with the camps and managing the ambulances.
Three additional health centres have been set up in Loni, Modi Nagar and Murad Nagar to provide medical facilities to the 'kanwarias'. All the health camps will function 24x7.
