Pakistan violates ceasefire at three places in Poonch

Jammu, July 23 (IANS) The Pakistan army on Tuesday violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) at three places in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

Defence ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand said, "At about 12.20 p.m. today Pakistan army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation along the LoC with firing of small arms in Poonch sector.

"Thereafter second ceasefire violation by Pakistan army took place in Krishna Ghati and Mendhar sectors.

"Indian Army is retaliating befittingly".

An Indian army soldier was killed on Monday in Pakistani firing in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district.
