New Delhi, July 16 (IANS) India's leading news wire service Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) has won the country's premier Commodity News Provider News Service Award.
The award was conferred on IANS on Saturday at the 7th International Conference of the Commodity Participants Association of India (CPAI) in New Delhi.
Speaking at the conference that focussed on 'Creating Indian Commodity Market for Generating Employment and Sustainable Development Goals', Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur emphasised on the need to "develop a safe and sound mechanism for commodity trading to help continuous employment generation".
The event was attended by experts from the commodity market, economists and officials from across the country, who also held a discussion on making the commodity market institutional to create new opportunities for intermediaries.
