AP State Budget for the next nine months is likely to touch ₹ 2.5 lakh crore if the proposals from the departments and promises made by the YSRC in the run-up to the elections were to be factored in.The outgoing government in its interim budget estimated that the expenditure would be around ₹ 2.26 lakh crore. Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy would present a full budget on July 12.As the coffers are nearly empty, the Finance Minister would have to make a tight rope walk to implement policies and programmes of the State government. It is estimated that the average annual incremental impact would be ₹ 75,305 crore to implement Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s pre-poll promises. “Mr. Jagan reportedly also told the Finance Minister to ensure that the party’s election manifesto - Navaratnalu - is given priority in budget allocations,” said sources.
