Karnataka assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar on Tuesday said the resignations of eight MLAs were not in order and they must re-submit those in the prescribed format if they still wanted to press for it, prolonging the suspense over the fate of the Janata Dal (Secular)-Congress coalition government.
The Speaker’s step, however, did not go down well with BJP, which has been waiting for the coalition regime to cave in so that it could form the next government.
