Leeds, July 6 (IANS) Ace opener Rohit Sharma became the highest run-getter in the group stages of a single World Cup during India's final league match against Sri Lanka at the Headingley Cricket Ground here on Saturday.
Rohit, who already has four hundreds in the competition so far, went past Shakib Al Hasan's tally of 606 runs in eight innings when he reached 63 with India chasing 265 for victory.
