It is well known that KCR had made Modi angry with his actions during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. At first, it was believed that KCR had been in hands in glove with BJP in order to completely eliminate Congress in Telangana. Even in the past, KCR supported Modi's decisions regarding demonization, GST and electing President and Vice President of India.

But KCR thought that BJP might not win in 2019 Lok Sabha elections with require majority and then he started to form a federal front opposing BJP. KCR even made serious comments over Modi during campaigning for Lok Sabha elections.

Already KCR was sidelined by Modi while forming National level policy on agriculture. A high powered committee was appointed by Modi on Monday that included, chief ministers of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, besides Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and NITI Aayog member Ramesh Chand.

Even opposition leaders like CM from Karnataka were also included while KCR who happens to be CM of Telangana was not invited. This disappointed KCR as he believes that he was the one who revolutionized Telangana in terms of agriculture with Rythu Bandhu scheme.

A BJP leader said, “Obviously, Modi was irritated by KCR’s tall claims that he had the vision to bring qualitative change in the lives of farmers and that his Rythu Bandhu was a role model for the entire country.”
