There have been many complaints that YSRCP supporters have been physically assaulting TDP members may they be party members or party workers. These complaints have been making rounds from the time the YSRCP came to power. Even in some incidents, these violent situations lead to the death of certain TDP members. Immediately every such incident was getting attributed to political violence of YSRCP by TDP members.
While giving a counter to these allegations by TDP, YSRCP had also alleged that all these stores are being made by TDP members in order to gain sympathy from people ahead of local body elections. Surprisingly, on Monday YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy from Mangalagiri constituency is said to have met director general of police, Gautam Sawang and had complained that TDP members themselves were indulging in attacks on YSRCP officials.
He even alleged that these attacks were being organized by TDP Supremo, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh. He even urged the DGP to take strict actions on the social media posts on state home minister and other party members.
“Since the YSRC won the elections, the TDP leaders were not able to digest their defeat and hence were resorting to cheap gimmicks,” said Ramakrishna. Naidu, however, happened to have said to the party members that he would protect every TDP activist and if needed, he might stay locally to safeguard their interests politically.
