After getting trounced in the last elections and key leaders deserting the party, TDP seems to have finally started real politics now. As CBN was on foreign tour, there had been no political activity from TDP except their defection into BJP. Now from opposing notices issued to CBN's house, there seem to have been an initiation in political activities.
Recently Jagan and KCR met at Pragati Bhavan for the second time. They discussed the utilization of Godavari and Krishna waters without disputes. Also, many bifurcation related disputes were discussed.
They concluded to work together for mutual benefits for both states. But this does not satisfy the former irrigation minister Devineni Uma. He questioned Jagan on stopping irrigation works of linking of Bahuda-Vamsadhara- Nagavalli rivers. He asked why was Jagan angry on people of Uttarandhra? He added that it would not be good for the farmers.
"Godavari-Penna river linking works have been stopped. Vaikuntapuram barrage works across the Krishna river have also been stopped. What mistake the farmers of Rayalaseema do to stop the linking works of Godavari and Penna rivers? Reverse tendering doesn't have any relevance once the AP border is crossed. AP government should retain its right over the 512 TMCs of water. Why Jagan is silent on Karnataka and Maharashtra state governments who are trying to increase the Almatti gate height," asked Devineni Uma.
