It was being said that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was planning to demolish heritage buildings just like Jagan Mohan Reddy in AP but to construct fancy buildings for both Secretariat and state assembly. But this seems to be facing strong resistance from both public and opposition parties.

Recently, Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy had filed a petition in the High court opposing the demolition of those buildings. He asked the court to issue orders to stop the demolition of those buildings. Even in 2016, Jeevan Reddy filed a plea not to demolish them. He alleged that there might not be any sense in demolishing it for Vaastu alone.

Another similar issue raised with the decision to demolish the 150-year old Erram Manzil Palace building in order to construct an assembly complex. The heirs of the owner of the palace, Nawab Fakhr-ul-Mulk filed a petition staying that the palace cannot be demolished and can be preserved as a heritage building.

It is being said that even they are planning to move to court. However, the response to these petitions had not yet been received. But according to sources government is in no change of plans. This might get a negative impact on KCR and his governance which might affect his political balance.
