Defection of four TDP members into BJP might be looking good to YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party members for now. But is it safe for YSRCP though? Political analysts say that this defection of TDP members into BJP must be an alarming bell for YSRCP. According to those analysts, BJP seems to have long term plans for AP. They say that BJP which is engulfing TDP now might not hesitate to do the same with YSRCP in future.

There are many reasons for which Jagan right now is maintaining friendly relations with BJP. One among those might be to get himself cleared out of the cases alleged by TDP and Congress earlier. Other one is to eradicate TDP from AP politics. It is also being said that Vijay Sai Reddy of YSRCP played an important role in defection of TDP members to BJP.

As Jagan had already announced that unlike Babu, he is not going to encourage defection into YSRCP, the party leaders holding position might need to resign their positions in order to join YSRCP as asked by Jagan. By that, they must under go elections once again which seems harder for them than defecting to BJP. This in an overview seems to be a joint strategy of BJP and YSRCP. By this strategy they might eradicate TDP from AP politics.

But another consequence of this strategy is that BJP that has no presence in AP assembly might get its presence. Later those who defected to BJP might start creating troubles to Jagan with the support from BJP making it the opposition to YSRCP. It's being said that BJP had already started to collect evidences of anti hindutva acts of Jagan to use them against him in next elections.

By 2024 elections BJP might not win but its target is to become a strong opposition in AP so that it could win massively by 2029 elections according to party sources. So, it looks like it might be better for Jagan if he had plans of his own to get over this upcoming trouble.
