Looks like Jagan’s delay in progress related to Andhra Pradesh’s capital, Amaravathi has got good news for the middle-class people at Amaravathi. When Amaravathi was declared as the capital of Andhra Pradesh, the cost of the land took a huge bump reaching the skies. Many have bought lands over there at throwaway prices with rumors or secrets coming out from the previous government. And then they put up a hike over those land prices. Lands which even did not worth 10 lacks per acre have started to be sold at several crores per acre. Even the smallest of the areas were converted into apartments and buildings.
As Jagan had always opposed the acquisition of farmers' lands for the development of capital when he became the new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the prices began to fall too low. This is bad news to those big real estate dealers dealing with farmers’ lands at huge amounts. They bought it at throwaway prices and are selling in gems. But this was an end for those real estate dealers. This is good news for the common man who wanted to buy a piece of land at Amaravathi.
However, Jagan had not made any comments related to Amaravathi. But there had been a price fall fuelled by speculations. Also, the real estate dealers have stopped buying lands as Jagan became the new CM. By this, the lands which were sold at 1.75 crores per acre then, are being sold at 75 lakhs per acre now. For this middle class, people are conveying their thanks to Jagan.
