Seoul: Prince Andrew visits Hahoe Village #Gallery

Seoul: Britain's Prince Andrew (C) conveys a message and greetings from his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, during a visit to Hahoe Village in Andong, 270 kilometers southeast of Seoul, on May 14, 2019. The visit was made 20 years after the queen toured the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) village. At that time, villagers threw a traditional Korean birthday party to celebrate the queen's 73rd birthday. Hahoe is a unique village that has both tiled-roof residences of the old ruling class and thatched-roof dwellings of commoners and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2010. (Yonhap/IANS)more
