The American Corner at the University of Lome in Togo hosted a workshop April 29-20 for a dozen American Spaces coordinators from eight Francophone countries in the region. The objective was to share best practices and develop new techniques to integrate STEM education into programming at the American Corners. The Regional Public Engagement Specialists (REPS) from Senegal and Accra organized the event. The workshop concluded with a visit to an exhibition of innovative artisanal products created by Togolese “makers” using tools such as 3-D printers and laser cutters.
