Gautam Tinnanuri: Nani was not in my mind

The director of Nani's Jersey, Gautam Tinnanuri said that he got inspired from Harsha Bhogle's TV interview to write the story of the film.

"I watched an interview of Harsha, where he spoke about Sachin Tendulkar. That point hit me hard and I started writing the story of an underdog, Arjun. I did not have Nani or anyone else in my mind while writing this story. But Nani owned the film and breathed life to the character," he said.

In other news, Jersey collected 4.5 crores in the Telugu states on it's first day.
