Last year at the mid-season of IPL, KXIP captain R Ashwin mentioned himself as 'captain unpredictable' for his strategies impossible to guess. Astonishingly Punjab who stood at Top at first half of the season gave an unbelievable show to lose the PlayOff spot.
Now, in this season, Ashwin created a controversy with 'Mankading’ incident. He hasn’t been played with the same eleven in this season and took some unguessable calls and decision in the entire season. Some turned good but others gave a very flop show.
In the night match with Royal Challengers he kept Nicholas Pooran, the West Indies young hard hitter in the team, but haven’t sent him even they were four wickets down. With above 10 run rate at one stage, Punjab managed to get only 174 runs on board and that brought a lot of criticism. Now, we have to wait how the team management, their fans, and Preeti Zinta reacts on his unpredictable moves.
