Yesterday, Mr.cool Dhoni, lost his calm and stormed into the ground on Thursday as the main Umpire gave o-ball without any signal from the leg-umpire. As the decision was taken back and had a heated argument with umpires pointing his fingers. Or this act he was penalized 50% in his match fee.
Reacting to MS Dhoni being fined 50% of his match fee for storming on to the pitch during CSK-RR match, ex-India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar said that Dhoni was lucky to get away with just a small fine. "Have always been a big Dhoni admirer, but he was clearly out of line walking out like that," he added.
Ex-India captain Bishan Singh Bedi on Friday took to Twitter to criticize MS Dhoni for storming on to the field to argue with umpires during CSK's match against RR on Thursday. "I'm aghast with media calls on Dhoni's invasion on the field as the most immature protest against umpires...Why even authorities are shamelessly timid-50% fine is kid-gloving MSD," Bedi wrote.
RR opener Jos Buttler has said that CSK captain MS Dhoni was "probably not right" in storming on to the field to argue with umpires during their IPL match in Jaipur. "I was fielding at boundary so I am not sure what had actually happened. I am not sure if that was the right thing to do," he added.
Ex-England captain Michael Vaughan has said CSK captain MS Dhoni was wrong to storm on to the pitch and argue with the umpires against RR on Thursday. "I know he can do whatever he wants in this country. But you're not allowed to leave dugout as skipper and point your finger at the umpire out in the middle," he added.
