The BJP manifesto for 2019 Lok Sabha polls erroneously mentioned that it had made "strict provisions" to facilitate transferring of laws in order to "commit crimes against women". The manifesto, containing 75 resolutions, was released at BJP headquarters in Delhi today. The error was found in the chapter titled 'Women Empowerment' under the section 'Ensuring a Dignified Life for Women'.
Swiftly, Congress social media chief Divya Spandana tweeted an embarrassing error in the BJP’s newly released manifesto that says the government has “made strict provisions for transferring the laws in order to commit crimes against women”.
Congress’ official Twitter handle also tweeted the error and said, “At least one point in BJP’s Manifesto reflects their true intentions.”
Other spelling errors were also pointed out, like the sentence where ‘Vidyalayas’ was spelled in two different ways in the same sentence. Journalist Vasudha Venugopal said this “shows the manifesto was made in a real hurry, in the middle of more important jobs like operating war rooms and social media armies.
