After calling Kohli's captaincy for RCB team just a bit of luck and hardly any hard work, another taunt was thrown at the RCB captain by the cricketer-turned-politician.
Reacting to RCB losing each of their first six matches in IPL 2019, ex-India opener Gautam Gambhir said, "While Virat Kohli the batsman is an absolute master, Kohli the captain is an apprentice."
He questioned why did the last year's auction go for Marcus Stoins and Nathan Coulter-Nile if they knew these players were unavailable from the beginning. He pointed out Kohli's decision making in selecting bowlers for the crucial overs in the recent match.
"He has loads to learn. Rather than blaming the bowlers, he should take the blame on himself," Gambhir added. Earlier, Gambhir had said Kohli isn't a "shrewd captain". These statements once again triggered the controversial debates among the fans.
