‘Dear Comrade’ first single out!

Tollywood Sensation Vijay Deverakonda, who was last seen in Taxiwaala last year, is said to be playing the role of a student leader with a communist background in Dear Comrade. Rashmika Mandanna will be seen playing the lead opposite Vijay.

She is in the role of a cricketer playing for the state of Telangana. Sources say that Rashmika underwent special training for her role at the cricket club in Hyderabad prior to the commencement of shooting.

A day after Rashmika's birthday, the team released the first lyrical video from the movie. Titled ‘Nee Neeli Kannullonna’, this breezy number has been sung by Gowtham Bharadwaj V, with music by Justin Prabhakaran.

Penned by Rehman the song also has a wonderful combination of guitar (played by Sam Solomon) and ocarina (played by Vijay Anand). The song has been simultaneously released in all four south Indian languages. 'Dear Comrade' is being directed by Bharat Kamma while Mythri Movie Makers and Big Ben Cinemas are bankrolling it.
